Cheesecake Lemon Bars

When I asked my boyfriend what dessert he wanted me to bake for his grand homecoming after his holiday visit to Canada, he said he’d like something with cheesecake or lemon. Cheesecake or lemon? I figured I could do him one better an make a dessert that had cheesecake AND lemon. I found these bars online and knew they were the right choice. I had the brilliant idea to bring them to the airport so he could have one straight off the plane, but I ended up dropping the Tupperware and the few pieces inside got a bit smushed. Still, they tasted delicious. The crust is the perfect texture to pair with the creamy cheesecake and the tangy lemon layer. The recipe made 24 bars and I’m proud/ashamed to say we finished the whole batch on our own.
